BACK KNEEBOW 4'8m?f End times: very knee shall bow GABRIEL -- (enters dressed in white tunic, crosses to podium, picks up scroll, reads silently) MICHAEL -- (enters dressed in white tunic, with trumpet, air horn or loud buzzer, blasts it) GABRIEL -- Do you mind?! I'm trying to read here. MICHAEL -- Sorry. I was just testing. GABRIEL -- Testing? Testing what? MICHAEL -- (holds up horn) This is the signal for the end of the age. GABRIEL -- The end of the age. Oh. The end of the age! I was just reading about that! At the end of the age, every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. MICHAEL -- Precisely. GABRIEL -- So, when will it happen? MICHAEL -- Soon. The Lord told me to rehearse the signal. (blasts) GABRIEL -- That sure is loud! MICHAEL -- It's supposed to be loud. Everyone on earth will hear it unmistakably. (looks up) I'm ready, Lord. (nods at ceiling) MORMON -- (enters wearing white shirt, tie and name tag, crosses to podium speaking to audience) Our prophet says that Jesus is really the spirit brother of Lucifer. He's a man like us who achieved immortality through good works. MICHAEL -- (blasts) MORMON -- (looks up in horror, freezes) GABRIEL -- (reads) Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. JW -- (enters opposite wearing business suit, carrying magazine, crosses to podium, speaking to audience) Our magazine makes it very clear the Jesus is really the Archangel Michael. MICHAEL -- (blasts) JW -- (looks up in horror, freezes) GABRIEL -- (reads) And we are in him who is true--even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. APPLEWHITE -- (enters wearing black choir robe, crosses speaking to audience) The savior of the world is an alien in a space ship hidden behind that comet. (points) MICHAEL -- (blasts) APPLEWHITE -- (looks up in horror, freezes) GABRIEL -- "Men of Galilee," the angel said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." ARAB -- (enters opposite dressed in Tunic and headdress, crosses speaking to audience) My holy book says that Jesus was a prophet, not a God. Jesus never claimed to be God. MICHAEL -- (blasts) ARAB -- (looks up in horror, freezes) GABRIEL -- Jesus said, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one." RABBI -- (enters wearing a black hat and curly sideburns, crosses speaking to audience) There is no messiah. There is no need for a messiah. Man can make it to Heaven by keeping the Law. MICHAEL -- (blasts) RABBI -- (looks up in horror, freezes) GABRIEL -- (reads) The Jews have the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen. KORISH -- (enters wearing glasses, jeans, T-shirt) I am the second coming of Jesus. JONES -- (enters opposite wearing Aloha shirt, dark glasses) I am the second coming of Jesus. MICHAEL -- (blasts) KORISH & JONES -- (look up in horror, freeze) GABRIEL -- (reads) Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. MICHAEL -- (blasts exiting) ALL -- (kneel) Lord, Lord. GABRIEL -- (reads) "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." "Away from me, all you evildoers!"
